A few years ago under a different political administration I had the opportunity to visit Washington DC. I wasn’t really into politics and it seemed like a lot of the most visited places in Washington DC were political. Before visiting Seattle the only thing that I knew about the place was that Kurt Cobain lived there and that it was also home to the first Starbucks store. Both super cool facts and to be honest as a music lover and coffee obsessor I had to visit, I just worried that it would be too cool for me. I arrive in Memphis after a 23 hour Greyhound bus journey from Washington DC. I am almost halfway through a 6-week trek across the US, and for the past 23 and a bit hours I have been cooped up on a bus. I have had little human interaction and nothing to do but literally watch the world go by.
